Squitter is an Animal Friend first appearing in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest He is a large orange-and-black haired spider who wears four pairs of orange-white shoes. While most real-world spiders produce silk from their backsides, Squitter is able to shoot it from his mouth. However, members of the spider family Scytodidae are actually able to spit harmful venom-infused silk from their chelicerae, and Squitter even resembles these spiders, as both have an orange coloration with dark spots, though the similarity is coincidental.[2] Squitter lacks some other features that the average spider has, including multiple eyes and chelicerae.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest[edit]

Squitter is an ally in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. From his mouth, Squitter can shoot out an unlimited number of web projectiles, which can to defeat most enemies, including Zingers. Squitter can create temporary web platforms to reach higher areas, such as a Bonus Area, or to cross a large gap. Squitter does not jump as high as Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong. Squitter cannot defeat any enemy by jumping on it, which even damages him in the process.
