Bazukas are red Kremling enemies that appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. They carry around a large bazooka cannon, which they are named after. They are the successor to Kannons from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Bazukas have spiky crests on their head and their tail, which give them a dragon-like appearance, and a yellow belly. Bazukas shoot out either barrels, Steel Barrels, or TNT Barrels from their cannon. A red laser sight is on the top of their cannon, and it is used for aiming.
History[edit]
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble![edit]
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Bazukas shoot out an indefinite number of either barrels, Steel Barrels, and TNT Barrels. Dixie and Kiddy Kong often have to bounce on their projectiles to get across gaps or to reach hidden areas and Bonus Barrels. Bazukas first appear in the level Blazing Bazukas, as the main enemy and feature, and return in Koindozer Klamber, Criss Kross Cliffs, and Tyrant Twin Tussle. In Criss Kross Cliffs, a Bazuka will continuously blast TNT Barrels or Steel Barrels upward, depending on the setting on the Switch Barrel. Dixie and Kiddy must bounce on the Steel Barrels to progress up into the level. Bazukas can only be defeated if Kiddy or Dixie throw a TNT Barrel at them (which can only be done in Blazing Bazukas near the Squitter Barrel), as their large cannons protect them from any other attack method. Levels with a Bazuka often require one to defeat Koin for its DK Coin; as the Bazuka fires Steel Barrel at the Koin, the Kongs must go behind Koin for it to be hit from behind. In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a Bazuka is categorized under the Kremling Kreeps category.
Donkey Kong Land III[edit]
Bazukas appear as enemies in Donkey Kong Land III. Unlike the previous game, Bazukas cannot be defeated, mainly because there is never an opportunity to use a nearby TNT Barrel on one. Bazukas once again are in a level title, Bazuka Bombard, though only a few appear there.
