They all cheer before they run over to their respective [[Goal Pole|flagpole]]s nearby and stand in front of them, with their hands on the wheel handles.

Players compete to crank their flagpole to the top first, and whoever does so wins, also showing fireworks behind the castle. In ''Mario Party 8'', if nobody fulfills the objective by five minutes, it is a tie.  
The four players must crank their flagpoles by swinging {{button|wii|wiimote}} in circles or by turning the crank on the Touch Screen by using the 3DS stylus. The first one to get the flag to the top is the winner. In ''Mario Party 8'', if no one gets their flag to the top within five minutes, the minigame ends in a tie.
