Joy Tanner (born March 7, 1966) is an American-born Canadian actress, born in either Rochester or Buffalo, New York.[1][better source needed] She is best known for her roles as Jill Stone in Cold Squad,[2] Mrs. Coyne in Degrassi: The Next Generation,[3] and Nora McDonald Venturi in the sitcom Life with Derek and its movie finale Vacation with Derek. She was nominated for a Gemini Award in 2007 for guest role in ReGenesis in the episode "Let It Burn".[4] She provided the voices of Candy Kong and Candy Clone in the Donkey Kong Country television series.
