Super Kong is a white version of Donkey Kong who appears in the Super Guide mode of Donkey Kong Country Returns and its Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch ports. His clothes are blue instead of red. As per the Super Guide feature in games of the Super Mario series, Super Kong automatically clear levels that the player finds too difficult, while giving the player an example of how to play the level.

Donkey Kong Country Returns (3D / HD)[edit]

In Donkey Kong Country Returns, if the player loses eight lives in a level, and they are playing in single-player mode, the tutorial pig appears and offers to activate Super Guide.[1] In New Mode of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Modern Mode of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, the player only has to lose five lives. Tutorial pig is present at the start of the level and at any checkpoint. If the player activates Super Guide, the level resets and Super Kong appears. Super Kong then completes the level for the player. The route may involve opening a DK Barrel, in which case Diddy Kong's Super Kong counterpart joins Super Kong. The player does not keep any items collected by Super Kong, such as bananas, Banana Coins, or Puzzle Pieces.[2] This is to the point where trackers for those items do not appear on the screen. The player can press the Plus Button button while Super Guide is activated to take control of Super Kong until the player reaches the goal or loses a life. In the silhouette levels, Super Kong and Diddy Kong's Super Kong counterpart remain visually distinct from the normal Kongs due to their blue clothes.

In the Factory levels Cog Jog, Switcheroo, and Music Madness, Super Kong does locate the hidden buttons that unlock Lift-off Launch.
