Cranky Kong, "Ape Foo Young"

A younger form of Cranky Kong appears in the Donkey Kong Country television series episode "Ape Foo Young". He achieves this form by creating a youth serum and drinking it.

History[edit]

In "Ape Foo Young", King K. Rool and many of his minions try to attack Cranky, trying to achieve the Crystal Coconut. When Cranky tries to attack, he gets back pain. Rool then orders his minions to "string him up" by hanging him up by his shirt on the Donkey Kong statue. DK and Diddy appear at Cranky's Cabin to get his vacuum, which leads to Rool and his minions hiding away. After the duo leave with the vacuum, Rool and his minions also leave. As Cranky is stuck on the statue, he throws his walking stick at globe covering the Crystal Coconut, which then a younger hologram of Cranky appears to talk to his older self. When Cranky finally gets himself free, he makes a potion to make himself younger. Once he becomes younger, Cranky goes to Rool's lair, but before he fights Rool and Klump, many Kritters capture and imprison him. Neither Rool or Klump can recognise Cranky in his younger form. Cranky manages to escape in a his cell by unknown reasons, and he tries to escape the lair in a minecart. While trying escape, Klump and various Kritters use two different minecarts to corner him. After the impact between the minecarts, Cranky becomes his older self again.
