Effect Reveals hidden red coins and Winged Clouds

The Magnifying Glass[1] is an item in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its reissue. It is a Special Item that detects red coins disguised as regular coins and turns them red and visible. The Magnifying Glass also reveals Winged Clouds that are otherwise invisible, except Winged Clouds that are revealed only by rolling a Chomp Rock or snowball over their locations. The effects of a Magnifying Glass last until the end of the level. A Magnifying Glass appears in any of the Bonus Challenges.

In chapter 4 of Super Mario-kun Volume 15, Yoshi uses a Magnifying Glass to discover the identity (shrouded in darkness) of Big Baby Bowser.
