In ''Mario Party 2'', the Koopa Tank color depends on the character being played: red for [[Mario]], blue for [[Luigi]], pink for [[Princess Peach|Peach]], green for [[Yoshi]], purple for [[Wario]], and brown for [[Donkey Kong]]. In ''Mario Party: The Top 100'' and ''Mario Party Superstars'', however, the colors are instead assigned by player number: red, blue, green, and yellow (for Players 1–4, respectively). Players can also use a lob shot, generally used if a player is behind a [[Warp Pipe]]. Two cannonballs that hit each other explode upon contact. A player who gets hit with a cannonball twice becomes eliminated. Tread Carefully is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party 2, Mario Party: The Top 100, and Mario Party Superstars; in the first two, it is known as Shell Shocked.
