The Guffawha Ruins are the dusty, deserted structures located at the foot of Hoohoo Mountain that Luigi (under hypnosis) visits during Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga to find a cure for his brother's Bean Fever. The location reappears in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions.

After Luigi gains his confidence from Psycho Kamek (Dr. Toadley in the remake), Luigi sets to Guffawha Ruins to find the Crabbie Grass to cure Mario. In this dungeon, Luigi has to take out a few enemies on his own, such as Elite Chuck Guys, Oucher Glasses, and Limbo Bros. He will then have to solve several puzzles. At the end of the level is a big rock shaped like a head, the moai, who will ask Luigi to relieve his stress by dodging energy balls moai spits out for 30 seconds. Many people in Little Fungitown thought this rock head was a flesh-stripping, bone-crushing, bloodsucking monster. However, he does not harm Luigi or challenge him to a battle. Guffawha Ruins lies between Teehee Valley and Hoohoo Mountain.

Luigi cannot revisit the interior of Guffawha Ruins from its entrance when Mario is with him after both plumbers have obtained the Ultra Hammers from the Hammerhead Bros. in their cave because the gates will be closed after Bowletta kidnaps Peach. Hoohoo Mountain Base has a path blocked by rocks that the Ultra Hammer can break. The route will lead to the temple entrance, which allows both bros. to access the buried beans and visit the mole that has a Max Nut.
