Mario with the Light G status

Light G, also known as Gravity -,[1] is a status effect in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its Nintendo 3DS version. Mario and Luigi are the only ones who can be afflicted with this status. The brothers can get this status by wearing certain Clothing, or by eating a Green Pepper, and it is the opposite of Heavy G. As its name suggests, Light G will cause the affected character to become lighter, meaning his jumps will descend slower, his Hammer and Hand Power attacks will be faster, counter-attacks will be easier, and have a larger window for successful action commands. It is indicated by feathers floating up from below Mario or Luigi. In the remake, this only affects counter-attacking.
