Fishin' Boos debut in Super Mario World. They carry a fishing rod and ride a Lakitu's Cloud, much like their Koopa counterpart. However, instead of a 1-Up Mushroom, Fishin' Boos carry a blue flame and follow the player in a way that makes it hard for them to Jump. Their clouds also do not have faces. They have the same immunities as a normal Boo and therefore can only be spin jumped on.

Fishing Boos reappear in Super Mario Run as of the version 3.0.4 update, where they are found in the level Fishing Boo Taunts You. Although they are still found carrying harmful blue flames, they can also carry items such as Super Mushrooms, Coins, color coins, and Super Stars. In this game, despite the flames they carry, the enemies themselves are completely inoffensive, and can be defeated with a stomp attack, which reveals that they appear to be wearing sheets and brown shoes.

Fishin' Boos are enemies in Super Mario World. They are encountered in Choco-Ghost House only. Fishin' Boos carry a fishing rod and ride a cloud similar to Lakitu's Cloud but lacking the face. Fishin' Boos carry a blue flame from their fishing pole and try to hinder the player's jumping ability. Fishin' Boos have the same invulnerabilities as a normal Boo and therefore can only be Spin Jumped on. Their sprite depicts their hair as light blue, instead of black, possibly to make it distinguishable from the background.

Super Mario Run

Fishing Boos are enemies in Super Mario Run, since the version 3.0.4 update. Fishing Boos are encountered in Fishing Boo Taunts You only. Though they still carry harmful blue flames, Fishing Boos can also carry items such as Super Mushrooms, coins, color coins, and Super Stars. Despite the flames they carry, Fishing Boos are completely inoffensive, and can be defeated with a stomp attack, which reveals that they appear to be wearing sheets and brown shoes. Due to using 3D models, their turning animations are much smoother than before, making the flame's movement more predictable.

Nintendo Puzzle Collection

A Fishin' Boo is the fourth non-player opponent in the Hard difficulty of VS. Mode in Nintendo Puzzle Collection's remake of Yoshi's Cookie
