Variant of | Cannon |
Quartet-cannons[1] (or cannon quartets)[2] are quadruple-barreled cannons that fire cannonballs in two directions at a time, then rotate at a 45° angle before firing again. They are usually found hanging from a fixture on the ceiling.
In Super Mario Bros. 3, quartet-cannons appear in Template:World-link and Template:World-link. In Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3's World-e, they also appear in Bowser's Airship 1.
In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, quartet-cannons appear in Template:World-link. In addition to hanging overhead, some are now found grounded on the floor. One of these grounded quartet-cannons is a large rotating cannon pipe[3] that fires giant cannonballs out of three cannons, with one cannon actually being a pipe that does not fire and that player characters must enter.
