Squitter the Spider is an Animal Friend in the Donkey Kong series who first appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest; he is a large spider covered in orange and black hair which has a vague resemblance to lava.
History
Donkey Kong series
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Squitter can shoot webbing from his mouth, either as a projectile to hurt enemies or to make temporary platforms that can be used to reach high areas or cross gaps; however, he cannot jump on enemies and his jumping ability is actually worse than the Kongs.
Levels: Squitter has a level dedicated to him in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (Web Woods), which makes frequent use of his ability to spin web platforms.
Donkey Kong Land 2
In Donkey Kong Land 2, Squitter still lacks the ability to jump on enemies, so he has to fire webs at them to take them out.
Levels:
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, Squitter appears in several of the levels in the Northern Kremisphere, most commonly in factory-setting levels. In this game, Squitter can now jump on enemies to defeat them, but he still can't jump on the enemies that are immune to Dixie's and Kiddy's jump attacks, such as the Buzzes.
Levels: Squitter has a stage centered around him in this game as well (Krack Shot Kroc).
- Fire-Ball Frenzy
- Blazing Bazukas
- Krack Shot Kroc
- Pot Hole Panic
- Creepy Caverns
- Stampede Sprint
- Tyrant Twin Tussle
Donkey Kong Land III
In Donkey Kong Land III, Squitter maintains the ability to jump on enemies to defeat them.
