Deku Babas are a crossover species from The Legend of Zelda series. The only time they appear in the Super Mario franchise is as an obstacle in Mario Kart 8's The Legend of Zelda x Mario Kart 8 downloadable pack and the base game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
