Mega Yoshi is one of Yoshi's transformations in Yoshi's Woolly World and Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. It can be found in the levels Shy but Deadly and A Little Light Snowfall. Mega Yoshi acts in a similar fashion to that of Mega Mario from the Super Mario series of games, stomping through enemies on contact and being unable to take damage. Yoshi can still jump and ground-pound, the latter of which can break obstacles. Unlike in normal form, Yoshi ground-pounds the conventional way instead of transforming into a hammer. Yoshi cannot use his tongue or throw yarn balls. As a transformation, he does not get to bring his yarn balls through the Transformation Door. Defeating enemies in any way as Mega Yoshi grants the player beads.

When the player presses B Button, Yoshi uses a Tail Swipe, which stretches out ahead of Yoshi. It can defeat enemies and destroy course features, but it does not hit behind Yoshi. Enemies hit by Tail Swipes get knocked into the foreground as they are defeated. In the air, the Tail Swipe stalls Yoshi's fall.
