A Spiked Fun Guy[1] is a small green type of Pokey in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its reissue, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Spiked Fun Guys inhabit a handful of stages, and are often seen near enemies that use Needlenoses. Ordinarily, they merely move back and forth along the ground, bouncing back when they collide with a wall. As they move, they rapidly contract their heads up and down.

Potted Spiked Fun Guys[1] ride within brown and beige pots and repeatedly yet slowly bounce towards a Yoshi, occasionally performing a taller jump. The Yoshi can simply lick up the pot, which releases the Spiked Fun Guy, or burst the enemy with an egg or seed, which leaves the pot behind and can allow another Spiked Fun Guy to hop into it. Both Spiked Fun Guys and their pots can be converted into eggs. In certain instances, a Spiked Fun Guy may spawn with or without a pot each time it comes on-screen.
