Battle Course 1 is the first battle course of Mario Kart: Super Circuit. It uses the background from Mario Circuit. Its form is a square, with walls and sand in the middle. It resembles Battle Course 4 from Super Mario Kart, but smaller.
The course later reappears in Mario Kart 7 and Mario Kart Tour as a retro battle course.
Mario Kart 7
In Mario Kart 7, the course has received updated graphics. Rocky Wrenches have been added to the course and a small ramp at the center where the sand is. Also, instead of its original background, it has the same background as Template:Classic-link. In this version, the course uses the Mario Kart Wii arrangement of the Battle Course music featured in Template:Classic-link.
Mario Kart Tour
GBA Battle Course 1 reappears in Mario Kart Tour starting from the Battle Tour. It mostly uses its appearance in Mario Kart 7. There is now a lift on the side of the course for eliminated players, and Goal Poles appear at the edge of each side. The Rocky Wrenches have been removed from the course. The ramp in the middle has been replaced with a cross path through the offroad, similar to Template:Classic-link in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The minimap was rotated by 180 degrees, the outer walls became color-coded, and the red and blue guardrails swapped colors. Instead of using the Mario Kart Wii arrangement of Template:Classic-link, the course now uses SNES Battle Course 1's music from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. However, its original song is still present in the files of Tour. Battle Course 1 and GCN Cookie Land are the first battle stages to be implemented into Mario Kart Tour.
