<< Directory of levels >> |
Mount Magmeow is an island located on Lake Lapcat in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It is one of the few islands that surrounds the Wasteland Giga Bell. The island is a large volcanic mountain with Switchboards. This island cannot be accessed until the first Cat Shines in Pipe Path Tower and Risky Whisker Island are collected. The name of the island is a pun on "magma" and "meow," which is the sound a cat makes.

Back Off, Cat Prince Bully! |
Mario must defeat Cat Prince Bully in an arena near the mountain. |
Atop Mount Magmeow |
Mario must reach the peak of the mountain by using the Switchboards while avoiding the Cat Piranha Creepers. It is also possible, albeit very difficult, to climb up to the peak up the mountain. |
Hurry! Steer the Switchboards! |
Mario must Ground Pound the Ground-Pound Switch and transfer between multiple Switchboards to reach a Cat Shine. |
Five Cat Shine Shards |
Mario has to collect five Cat Shine Shards that are located around the mountain. |
Blast the Fury Blocks |
Fury Bowser has to attack the Fury Blocks on the starting gate island to break them open. The blocks cannot be safely reached until the first Cat Shine is collected, as some black goop is initially right underneath the blocks. |
Cat Shine Shards
- Found underneath the area before the first Switchboard, reached by using a secret Switchboard.
- Found on a platform with the second Fire Bro (if the second mission is not the current one) or the first Piranha Creeper (if the second mission is the current one), reached by leaving the first Switchboard.
- Found over a lava pit after the third Fire Bro (if the second mission is not the current one) or Piranha Creeper (if the second mission is the current one), requiring wall jumps to exit without hitting lava.
- Found behind two walls reached by using the second Switchboard, ducking under the first wall and jumping over the second wall.
- Found near the fourth Cat Shine Shard and the third Switchboard, blocked off by some Brick Blocks and POW Blocks.
