Template:Item-infobox Cat Flingers are tall blue springs topped by a brown sphere that appears in the Bowser's Fury game mode in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They allow Mario to propel himself in the desired direction. In order to do so, he first need to climb the blue spring of the Cat Flinger to reach the top, where he will perform a handstand, similarly to when he climbs trees. From there, the player can pull leftstick backwards, and aim with it and rightstick so that Mario can bounce off where the player want it to go. When Mario then touches the ground, he is granted a boost which makes him automatically dash for a short amount of time.

Cat Flingers are scattered across Lake Lapcat and are mostly used in some small challenging sections leading to a Cat Shine. Indeed, they are needed to get the Cat Shine named Gazing Over the Falls, for which Mario flings from Cat Flinger to Cat Flinger across clouds, or to rescue Banktoad and get the Cat Shine named Cuddly Castaway.

Alongside those available in Lake Lapcat, it is possible to unlock some Cat Flingers on top of every Lighthouse. By collecting the five Cat Shines of an island, a Cat Flinger will appear atop the island's Lighthouse, this time with a golden flag with cat ears, and Mario's emblem on it. These flags resemble Goal Pole flags from the linear platformers.
