“What's this?! You say you need to repair some silly old airship?! Why, I could never part with any of my precious Power Moons! It sounds to me like someone wants to be a snack for my adorable Chain Chompikins!”
Madame Brood, Super Mario Odyssey

Madame Brood is one of the Broodals, a group of evil, rabbit-like wedding planners appearing in Super Mario Odyssey, which are hired by Bowser to plan the wedding between Peach and himself.[1] Madame Brood is found in the Cascade Kingdom.

In the fight, Madame Brood attacks Mario with Chain Chompikins, which he has to control him with Cappy. When controlled, the player should move away from her and pull leftstick to wind up, allowing him to send flying at her after releasing leftstick to score a hit. Then, she uses Chain Chompikins as a yo-yo. After a while or when she gets hit by him that Mario controlled using Cappy, she uses him as a yo-yo once again. By sending Chain Chompikins flying at her, Mario scores the next hit. After each hit she drops sixteen coins; and after the third hit, she is defeated, disappears in a cloud of smoke, and leaves behind a Multi Moon which adds Power Moons to the player's total.

Trivia

  • As one of the Broodals, Madame Brood shares several traits with them, but is somewhat different in a number of ways:
    • Unlike the others, she has her own theme for the fights with them.
    • She does not ride their airship.
    • She is not shown in their artwork.
    • Their intro music does not play at her encounter.
  • A bust of Madame Brood's face (or a very similar one) can be seen on the front of the Broodals' airship.
