Gameplay
The objective of the game is to protect a bird's egg by making the bird jump right before a man called Block Buster swings a mallet down.
- 1st level difficulty: Block Buster swings the mallet on the ground at an average speed, forming a small crack. The mallet hits the ground at the 5th beat.
- 2nd level difficulty: Block Buster swings the mallet on the ground a bit quicker, forming a larger crack. The mallet hits the ground at the 4th beat.
- 3rd level difficulty: Block Buster fakes out a swing, then swings the mallet on the ground. The mallet strikes the ground at the 6th beat.
Appearance in the Super Smash Bros. series
This microgame also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, in the WarioWare, Inc. stage. Herein, players have to jump as the hammer swings down and hits the ground; otherwise, they will not get a reward for completing the microgame. In addition to failing the microgame, the player will be stuck in the ground as if hit by a Pitfall.
