Tread Carefully is a microgame that first appears in WarioWare: Touched! as an unlisted and unnamed microgame that randomly appears in Mic Rocking and every six points of any microphone games in the Album. The microgame is used to discourage the player from trying to interact with the microphone before the microgame starts, and to get a moment to calm down heavy breathing patterns. It returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Fronk's microgames and has a chance of appearing whenever Ultra controls are hidden (such as in Wario Deluxe's stage) or every seven points for Mike's microgames in the Index.
Gameplay
In WarioWare: Touched!, the player must avoid blowing into the mic to save the Fronks from falling off a tightrope. This microgame has twice the time to survive in this version only.
In WarioWare Gold, the player must avoid interacting with the 3DS, including pressing any buttons, tilting the handheld, touching the screen, or blowing into the mic. Pressing , or causes the boulder to fall with the button pressed imprinted on it, causing it to collapse the tightrope and knock away the Fronks. Blowing into the mic causes the Fronks and tightrope to fly away. Touching the screen causes the ground to shake, collapsing the tightrope. Tilting the 3DS slightly causes the stakes to tilt as well. Tilting too much causes the tightrope to fall. However, in this version, sometimes the player has to save the Fronks from getting eaten by a monster by blowing into the microphone. This causes the Fronks to be flown off the tongue of the monster and open up parachutes.
The microgame only has one difficulty level in either game, which is used regardless of which difficulty level the current stage or challenge picks microgames from.

Trivia
- Tread Carefully, especially in its original WarioWare: Touched version, plays a similar role to Bungii! from WarioWare: Smooth Moves, another microgame that is not associated with a specific character, exists to solve a control-related issue, and periodically appears when playing certain microgames individually.
