- Not to be confused with Flame Runner or Flame Flyer.
Flame Rider is a bike body that appears in Mario Kart 8. It resembles a classic Harley-Davidson chopper with a fire design on the side. The character's logo is found on the headlights, but it seen on the rear of the bike as well. The engine has a Fire Flower, a V-twin cylinder with Mushroom pistons, and a ? mark engraved on it. The Flame Rider offers a small acceleration boost and a large handling boost at the cost of weight and grip. It shares its stats with Pipe Frame, Wild Wiggler, Standard Bike, W 25 Silver Arrow, Varmint, and City Tripper.
The bike could be considered as a spiritual successor to the Wario Bike from Mario Kart Wii, since both bikes are choppers modeled after a classic Harley-Davidson.
