The Frog Flap is Kat & Ana's boss microgame that appeared in the Nature folder in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. It is also featured in WarioWare Gold, this time as a regular microgame and part of Dribble & Spitz's collection.
Gameplay
In this game, the player controls a frog that has to jump on clouds to get to a pool. As the frog jumps on a cloud, that cloud will disappear. Some clouds are stationary while some others move either left and right or up and down. The length of the clouds can range from 4 circles wide to 1 circle wide. In later levels, there will be red and blue ledges that will change the speed of the microgame partway through the course if jumped on. The red ledges make the game speed up while the blue ledges make the game slow down. If the frog falls into the cloudy sky below the ledges, the player loses the microgame. In WarioWare Gold, the game is changed from a boss microgame to a regular microgame. The background of the microgame is the famous Mt. Fuji.
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!
- 1st level difficulty: This course mostly has clouds that are 4 circles wide. The pool at the end is 4⁄4 wide nearly taking up a quarter of the in-game screen's length.
- 2nd level difficulty: This course mostly has clouds that are 3 circles wide. There are some red ledges and blue ledges partway through the course. The pool at the end is 3⁄4 wide.
- 3rd level difficulty: This course mostly has clouds that are 2 circles wide. There are more red and blue ledges through the course. The pool at the end is 2⁄4 wide or 1⁄2 wide.
WarioWare Gold
As a regular microgame, the courses featured are much shorter. The speed changing mechanisms are not used in this version.
- 1st level difficulty: The pool is at its widest, and is on-screen from the beginning. Only wide, stationary clouds form the course.
- 2nd level difficulty: The pool is three quarters its original size, and begins barely off-screen. The course includes narrower clouds, one of which might move up and down.
- 3rd level difficulty: The pool is half its original size, and begins barely off-screen. The course includes narrower clouds, both of which move. Otherwise, one of the clouds will be one circle wide and stationary.
