There are four fountains in Bubblaine in Super Mario Odyssey Each of them sends a geyser of water to the Glass Tower, where it is mixed into Sparkle Water. During The Glass Is Half Empty!, the fountains have corks blocking the flow of water. Each of the seals allows Mario to press a Ground-Pound Switch to increase the water flow. This launches the cork at Mollusque-Lanceur, who is sitting at the top of the Glass Tower drinking the remaining Sparkle Water. Once all four corks have hit Mollusque-Lanceur, he becomes angry and drops down to battle Mario. Once he is defeated, and Mario has collected the "The Glass if Half Full!" Multi Moon, when Mario returns to the Seaside Kingdom the fountains are fully functional again.
Mario can jump into the stream of water from a fountain, which proceeds to carry him all the way to the top of the Glass Tower. This is the primary means of reaching that area. He can drop out of the flow early if the player presses , , , or , all of which notably do not cause him to Ground Pound. If this is done close to a fountain, the stream enters a cooldown state where it does not carry Mario. This means Mario can stand directly on the grate over the source of the water without being carried.
As water, if Mario is capturing anything that is not a Cheep Cheep or a Gushen, that character will vanish on contact and leave Mario to be carried away. Cheep Cheep are forcefully pushed away, but Gushen can linger next to the flow without being able to enter it. Additionally, the geyser can refill a Gushen's water supply.
