Super Mario–related role(s) Current voice actor for Donkey Kong

Takashi Nagasako (長嶝 高士, Nagasako Takashi, born February 24, 1964 in Wakayama Prefecture) is a Japanese voice actor currently employed at Arts Vision. He is known for voicing Dodoria since Dragon Ball: Raging Blast, an unnamed Scotland yard inspector in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animation, and Big the Cat in Sonic X and since Sonic Heroes, replacing Shun Yashiro.

In Super Mario games, Nagasako is most notable for voicing Donkey Kong. Long before voicing his usual Donkey Kong, Nagasako also voiced Ganondorf in games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and Super Smash Bros. Melee, and would eventually reprise his role as the character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Portrayals

1 - Due to the voice credits being split between Nintendo and SEGA characters, Nagasako is credited twice in the Nintendo DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
