(The writing is good enough, "Imprisoned" was the castle theme and not the fortress theme, table credits should be reserved for known composers so it isn't crammed with info, and names are bolded if the song is a mostly 1-to-1 arrangement.)

"BGM Tride[sic]",[1][better source needed] derived from the Japanese word 「砦」 (toride, "fort"), is a musical theme that appears in New Super Mario Bros., playing in the tower courses. It is an arrangement of the fortress theme from Super Mario Bros. 3 by Koji Kondo. Although the game's music was composed by Asuka Ohta and Hajime Wakai and directed by Kondo, the composer for this specific theme is unknown. The theme would be rearranged throughout the New Super Mario Bros. series.

Arrangements

Super Mario series

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

A variation of "BGM Tride" appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii with the beginning sounding similar to the original. Near the end, however, it transitions into a new arrangement not heard in the original. The enemies and power-ups react to the strings in the beginning of the song and the slow twirls. Like the original theme, it plays in every fortress course. The theme returns in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, also appearing in their respective tower courses. Like the original theme, the exact composer is unknown; New Super Mario Bros. Wii was composed by Shiho Fujii and Ryo Nagamatsu.

New Super Mario Bros. 2

A slight rearrangement of New Super Mario Bros. Wii arrangement of "BGM Tride" is used in New Super Mario Bros. 2, sounding similarly to that version of the theme with the inclusion of "paah" vocals in the song, replacing the strings and twirls from the original. The backing instrument is played much more harshly in comparison to the original. When Mario or Luigi are in their Raccoon/Fox forms, a woodblock beat will play in the theme, much like other courses in the game. Likewise, touching a Gold Ring will add a bell synth arpeggiator on the theme.

Mario Strikers Charged

In Mario Strikers Charged, a hip hop cover of "BGM Tride" played on electric organ plays for the theme for Dry Bones whenever it is successful. It only plays the first few parts of the theme. Like the other themes, it is not exactly clear who composes this cover; the credits state three composers: Mike Peacock, Darren Radtke, and Chad York.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

In The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the New Super Mario Bros. Wii arrangement of "BGM Tride" is used various times. In particular, it is the part of theme that plays 22 seconds in. It plays in "An Indecent Proposal" when the Koopa Troopa soldiers surround Peach and Toad before Bowser proposes, in "Fighting Tooth and Veil" when Luigi's cage is submerged in lava, in "Grapple in the Big Apple" when Bowser shouts "I was finally gonna be happy!" at Mario as he chases him in Brooklyn, and at the 4:40 mark of "Super Mario Bros. Opus", which plays during the overall credits. All of these themes were composed by Brian Tyler and appear in the soundtrack.
