The Jellyfish Sisters, Gigi and Merri, are two adult Kurako that own the Relaxation Room in Gwarhar Lagoon during the events of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake. Gigi dons a red dress, while her sister, Merri, dons a green dress. When Mario and Luigi arrive at their Relaxation Room, the Jellyfish Sisters give them hand massages which helps the brothers discover their Firebrand and Thunderhand abilities while doing so. The Jellyfish Sisters are also able to fly, or at least glide, as they descend from the sky when they are first introduced.
After Mario and Luigi learn their Firebrand and Thunderhand abilities, the sisters teach them two new moves: Dash and Tickle. The sisters then ask the brothers to either pay for their lesson at the price of 100000 Beanbean coins, or alternatively suggest that they find the twin Green and Red Pearl Beans, situated in the cave they are in. Mario and Luigi opt to retrieve the Pearl Beans to pay the sisters, using their newly learned Tickle to navigate the Rolling Bar Defense System. After giving them the Pearl Beans, Gigi and Merri become so excited that they fall asleep, temporarily shutting down the Relaxation Room.
While their faces are a bright, light purple during Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, their faces are a blackish-blue.
