The Cherry Cup is a cup that appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC and exclusively features classic courses. It is the second of two cups in the fifth wave, being released alongside the Feather Cup, the second cup of the pass overall, and the fourteenth cup of the game overall. The emblem of the cup is the Lucky Bell from Super Mario 3D World. Excluding the Extra Cups in Mario Kart: Super Circuit and the cups in Mario Kart Tour, this is the first cup in the Mario Kart series to feature multiple classic courses from the same game in a single cup, as it features both Tour Bangkok Rush and Yoshi’s Island from Mario Kart Tour; notably, both of these courses are themed around Japan, matching the Japanese theme for the cup, a maneki-neko.
