Trivia
- He is similar to Boshi from the game Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, who was the boss of the Yoshis because of his racing victories; both had lost to Mario and his riding companions, and then they lost their status as the leader, though the Black Jibberjay gives his status up voluntarily. Due to being raced using a bird helper, he is also comparable to Screech from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
