Berlin Byways[1] is a race course in Mario Kart Tour. It is based on Berlin, the capital city of Germany, and will make its debut in the Metropolitan Tour as one of two new city courses, alongside a new route for Amsterdam Drift. The course visits various landmarks of Berlin, including a section featuring the Berlin Wall with Whomps filling the gaps as obstacles. Similar to a small amount of other city courses such as Sydney Sprint 2 and London Loop 3, the starting line has racers facing the opposite direction of the original route.

Despite being labeled as the original variant, this is actually the second playable route of the course. The route labeled as the second layout, Berlin Byways 2, debuted earlier in the Berlin Tour.
