A Character Switch[1] is a type of switch that first appears in Super Mario 3D World. Each switch has a character emblem on it for Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, or Rosalina; only the character whose emblem is shown can press the switch. When pressed, a Stamp, a Green Star, or a line of Coins will appear.

Trivia
- The only Character Switches that yield something other than Stamps are the Toad switch in Sprawling Savanna Rabbit Run (which gives out a Green Star) and the Mario switch in Blast Block Skyway (which activates a line of Coins).
- The Character Switches' Stamps are always of the respective character's Small form.
- Luigi's switch is the only one not found in a level with an alliterative title.
