Leaf Tires are downloadable tire part that is included in the Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 downloadable content pack for Mario Kart 8. As the name implies, the tires are emblazoned with an icon of an Animal Crossing leaf from the Animal Crossing series. The tire treads also resemble the texture of the grass in the Animal Crossing games. They are statistically identical to the Roller, Azure Roller, and Button; they offer a high acceleration boost and a handling boost at the cost of mitigating speed, weight, and traction, but unlike both of the Roller tires, the Leaf Tires are as large as the Standard tires. CPU Male Villagers will occasionally use these tires when they use the Streetle.
In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, these are unlocked randomly by collecting coins.
