The Circuit Special is an unlockable kart body in Mario Kart 8. It resembles a Formula One car, similar to the Sprinter (B Dasher Mk 2 in the PAL regions and Japan) from Mario Kart Wii. In fact, its Dutch name is the Sprinter 2.0, either a reference to the B Dasher (Sprinter in Dutch), or the actual Sprinter (B Dasher Mk 2 in PAL regions and Japan).

It offers a speed and weight boost, but it hinders in acceleration and especially traction; it shares its stats with the Sports Coupe, Mach 8, and the DLC B Dasher. Similarly, the Sport Bike also has both a green and an orange/yellow varnish that greatly resemble the green and orange/yellow varnish for the Circuit Special.

A CPU-controlled Yoshi, Rosalina, Metal Mario, and Pink Gold Peach may occasionally use this kart body with the Standard tires.
