The Legend of Zelda × Mario Kart 8 is one of the downloadable content packs, along with Animal Crossing: New Leaf × Mario Kart 8, included in the game Mario Kart 8. It was released on November 13, 2014.[1]
Features
Like the other DLC pack, The Legend of Zelda × Mario Kart 8 pack contains 3 new characters, 4 new vehicles, and 2 new cups of 4 tracks each.
Characters
NOTE: The stats of these characters are unknown.
Tanooki Mario - Mario powered up by a Super Leaf.
Cat Peach - Princess Peach powered up by a Super Bell.
Link - The main protagonist of the The Legend of Zelda series. His appearance is based upon that of his incarnation in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Vehicles
Blue Falcon - This vehicle is one of the many from the F-Zero series and previously appeared in Mario Kart Wii.
B Dasher[2] - Previously appeared in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7, and is Mario's first kart in the former.
- File:MK8MasterCycle.png.png Master Cycle - A bike based on The Legend of Zelda series.[3]
- File:Tanooki-Buggy.png Tanooki Kart[3] - A body that resembles a jeep. The wheel on the back is colored to look like a tanooki tail and has a small metal Tanooki Leaf in the middle.[4]
Tires
- Triforce Tires - a new pair of tires based on the Legend of Zelda series.
Gliders
- Hylian Kite - a new glider based on the Legend of Zelda series.
Tracks
Bonus content
If both DLC packs are purchased/preordered, the player will instantly receive 8 new colors of both Yoshi and Shy Guy, thus expanding the number of characters by 16. These characters do not appear as computer racers. The colors included are below:
