Cheep Cheep Beach is the third course of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart DS and the third course of the Shell Cup in Mario Kart 8. It is a tropical beach that resembles Cheep-Cheep Island from Mario Kart: Super Circuit.

Course layout

The course is very short; it starts out on a boardwalk and then it goes onto the sand. Players then turn under a rock, similar to that from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!'s Peach Beach. After being blasted from a booster, racers land on a beach with Crabs that cause to drivers to spin around if they make contact. After a turn racers encounter two Cheep Cheeps bouncing out of the water. A twisting jungle finishes off the course.

If racers run into dark blue water area, they will stop and get picked up by Lakitu and brought back to the course.

Missions

The missions 1-4 and 2-5 take place on this course.

The first is the 1-4 mission where the player have to use the star to hit 5 Cheep-Cheeps and 2-5 in the mission where the player needs to pick up 20 coins.

Official descriptions

  • European website: "Offering all-year-round sunshine and a never-ending supply of fresh fish, Cheep Cheep Beach is a great place to relax after a race. But make sure to lay your towel well away from the track, otherwise you'll find unsightly tire marks spoiling your all-over tan."

Mario Kart 8

Cheep Cheep Beach returns in Mario Kart 8 in the Shell Cup. Much like in Cheep Cheep Lagoon from Mario Kart 7, the course now has a Cheep Cheep-shaped banner with the course name in it. Players are now able to drive underwater. Piantas are now seen at the starting line. The start of the course where the boardwalk merges into the sand has been replaced with a gliding pad - not to mention that the course itself has high tide. The starting banner resembles a volleyball net.
