Landship

The Landship is an unlockable kart body that appears in Mario Kart 8. It is a small kart similar in shape of Bowser's Airships in Super Mario Bros. 3. It grants the player a large acceleration and a slight handling boost at the expense of speed, weight, and traction. It shares its stats with the Biddybuggy and Mr. Scooty. It changes color for all the Koopalings, though it's only the seat, cannon covers and back cabin. For all other characters, they use the color scheme used for Bowser.

Trivia

• The colors of the back cabin and cannon covers of Koopalings's airships are based off of their airships in New Super Mario Bros. U. The colors of the seat are identical to each Koopaling's shell color.
• The Landship's vehicle customization icon always shows the color scheme used by the non-Koopaling characters, even when used by a Koopaling.
