Ty-Foos are rare enemies that first appear in Super Mario 3D World. They are large white Foos with black and yellow eyes and large purple lips. They appear only in two levels: World 6-5 and World Mushroom-6. They are very similar to Fwooshes. Their name is a pun on "Typhoon", a name given to a violent tropical hurricane.
Ty-Foos function more as obstacles rather than enemies. They blow a strong gust of wind that pushes the player in the opposite direction, usually into another obstacle such as spikes or a pit. Most Ty-Foos are stationary, but some can move left and right while blowing. They can be stunned with fireballs and boomerangs, but Ty-Foos can be defeated only by star invincibility or Mega Mario.
