When obtained, Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, or Rosalina will transform into their cat form, which allows them to run up walls, slide into enemies, attack in midair, and climb up Goal Poles. There's also another power up called "Maneki-Neko" Bell which turns also Mario again into a cat, but when they ground pound under a certain condition, bonus coins will appear.
