The name "Plessie" is a reference to Plesiosaur, an extinct reptile species witch looks like a dinosaur. Its name is also similar to Nessie, the nickname given to the Loch Ness Monster.
Not much is known about it at this time, although it will first appear in World 1-4: Plessie's Plunging Falls, where Mario and company will ride it to the finish.
