Green Star Rings[1] are objects in Super Mario 3D World and its port. They bear similarities to the Green Stars they spawn, having the same glow, texture, and shape, but are bigger and are not solid. When a Green Star Ring is passed through, eight Green Star Coins appear, and when all Green Star Coins are collected, a Green Star appears.
