The Big Squeekly[1] is an enemy in Donkey Kong Country Returns and its port. It is encountered in Crowded Cavern only, along with the other members of the Squeekly family. Multiple Big Squeeklys are suggested to appear in the level,[2] though only one Big Squeekly appears on-screen at a time. Big Squeeklys are a variant of Squeeklys, and they are larger than even Chū Komorin.

Crowded Cavern
The Big Squeekly chasing the Kongs in Donkey Kong Country Returns.

When Donkey and Diddy Kong enter Crowded Cavern, they find the Squeekly family sleeping in the rocks. Progressing through the level requires the use of a Rocket Barrel, but since it creates a loud noise, it awakens the entire Squeekly family. The Big Squeekly and the other Squeeklys then start to furiously chase and attack the Kongs throughout the level for awakening them from their sleep. The Big Squeekly is capable of destroying rocky walls with its head and emitting large, purple sonic blasts to damage the Kongs. At the end of the level, the Big Squeekly hits into a crystal and gets knocked out.
