The Moon Cup is a cup that appears in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC and exclusively features classic courses. It is the second of two cups in the first wave, the first being the Rock Cup. The emblem of the cup is the Power Moon from Super Mario Odyssey. Excluding the Extra Cups in Mario Kart: Super Circuit and the cups in Mario Kart Tour, this is the first cup in the Mario Kart series to feature multiple classic courses from the same game in a single cup, as it features both London Loop and Sydney Sprint from Mario Kart Tour; notably, both of these courses are themed around Japan, matching the Japanese theme for the cup, a maneki-neko.
