Poster of Mario Kart 8's second DLC, Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8

Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 (called Animal Crossing: New Leaf × Mario Kart 8 up to November 2014) is one of three downloadable content packs available for Mario Kart 8, the others being Mercedes-Benz × Mario Kart 8 and The Legend of Zelda × Mario Kart 8. Originally scheduled for release in May of 2015, it was later pulled ahead to an earlier release date of April 23, 2015.[1][dead link]

The re-release of Mario Kart 8 on the Nintendo Switch as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, contains all the previously released DLC for Mario Kart 8 in the base game, including the Animal Crossing content in this pack.
