Fling Pole

The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.

Template:Item-infobox Cat Flingers are tall blue springs topped by a brown sphere that appear in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They allow Mario to propel himself forwards a great distance. By climbing the blue spring of the Cat Flinger to reach the top, he will perform a handstand, similarly to when he climbs poles and trees. From the top, the player can pull leftstick backwards, and aim with it and rightstick. When leftstick is released, Mario will be sent flying forwards, and once he touches the ground, he will automatically dash for a short amount of time.

Cat Flingers are scattered across Lake Lapcat idly, but some are placed consecutively to help reach a Cat Shine. To complete "Gazing over the Falls", Mario must fling from Cat Flinger to Cat Flinger to reach an island in the sky. To complete "Cuddly Castaway", he must use Cat Flingers to reach and rescue Banktoad.

Cat Flingers can also appear on top of every lighthouse across Lake Lapcat. By collecting the five Cat Shines of an island, a Cat Flinger will appear atop the island's lighthouse and raise a golden flag that has cat ears and Mario's emblem on it. These flags resemble those of Goal Poles and Checkpoint Flags.
