The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an official name is found, then the article should be moved to its appropriate title.
Calico cat parents are the parents of the calico kittens found in Lake Lapcat in Bowser's Fury. Three different parents appear in the game, each one found near each of the three Giga Bells. When Mario first encounters one, it is seen crying due to its kittens having gone missing. Similar to the mission "Li'l Penguin Lost" in Super Mario 64, Mario is required to return the calico kittens to their respective parents (found within the same region) by carrying them back to them. Upon doing so for each parent, Mario earns a Cat Shine. The parent by the Lakeside Giga Bell has one kitten, the parent by the Ruins Giga Bell has three, and the parent by the Wasteland Giga Bell has five.
Like the kittens, while Fury Bowser is active, calico cat parents turn darker and attack Mario.
