They can be seen on most of the various islands composing Lake Lapcat, an archipelago dedicated to them. They exist in five different colors: green, reddish pink, blue, black, and calico, each of them except the calico referencing a specific character's Cat form color: respectively Luigi, Peach (although the color is not exactly the same), Toad, and Rosalina. These cats are friendly and sometimes caress Mario, or relax and groom themselves.
