Template:Articleabout Template:Form-infobox Golden Statue Mario[1], or Maneki-Neko Mario[2], is a form of Lucky Cat Mario in Super Mario 3D World. The user transforms into this when a Ground Pound is performed.
In this form, he is a golden maneki-neko holding a coin. Luigi's Maneki-Neko form is slightly different; he is raising his left paw instead of his right, unlike everyone else. While similar to Tanooki Mario's Statue form, Mario is invincible, rather than merely invulnerable and ignored by enemies; he also earns Coins while falling in this form. Mario cannot remain in this form indefinitely; he reverts to Lucky Cat Mario either if the player stops the ground pound, or its time limit expires. Maneki-Neko Mario can defeat almost all normally invincible enemies, such as Fuzzies, Fuzzlers, and Rammerheads, and defeat enemies that usually take multiple hits in one hit. However, it cannot defeat Ka-Thunks, Big Ant Troopers, or Charvaarghs.
