Baby Rosie is a minor character in the Mario series designed to be the infant counterpart of Rosalina. Baby Rosie debuted as a lightweight unlockable racer in Mario Kart 8, similar to how Baby flower was introduced in Mario Kart Wii. She is a light weight racer and shares her stats with the other playable babies and Lemmy Koopa. Baby Rosie is the only unlockable baby in Mario Kart 8. Nin★Maria's staff ghost uses Baby Rosie if players race on Cloudtop Cruise in Time Trials.
Physical description and traits
With an outfit based on Rosalina's design, Baby Rosie has pale skin, platinum blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. Her hair is similar to the way Rosie droops a large bang over her right eye as an adult. Her dress appears to be turquoise with a lighter skirt section. Just like Rosalina, she wears a silver crown instead of the gold crown that Princess Peach and Princess Daisy wear. She has a pacifier like Baby heart and Baby flower. Baby Rosie's emblem is a Grand Star inside blue bonnett frills.

- Baby Rosalina's appearance contradicts her adult form's backstory. Despite Rosalina's Storybook showing Rosalina to have more red-coloured hair as a child, Baby Rosalina has the same color hair as her adult form.
- Baby Rosalina and Baby Daisy are the only baby versions of characters introduced so far that are not Star Children, as well as the only baby versions of characters to be introduced in a Mario Kart game.
