The Standard ATV, known outside North America as the Standard Quad, is a type of ATV to be introduced in Mario Kart 8. The Standard ATV is seen as a counterpart to the Standard Kart and Standard Bike as it is balanced in stats. Like Standard Bikes, Standard ATVs perform similar to Standard Karts stat wise as lightweights have better handling and acceleration while heavyweights have higher top speed and weight. All Standard ATVs perform outward drifts, unlike most other ATVs.
